A Bermudian author and former journalist, Rosemary joined global specialty startup Mosaic Insurance this year after six years driving communications and marketing initiatives at national public-private agencies on the island. As director of corporate communications and strategy at the Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA), she managed media and stakeholder relations and oversaw the National Tourism Plan. Previously, she was head of communications and marketing for the Bermuda Business Development Agency (BDA),which supports the island’s global financial services sector in attracting investment and new business.
As a reporter and editor, she worked for the Toronto Star, Toronto Sun, and Broadcast News/Canadian Press, and was published in numerous North American newspapers and magazines. She is a former editor of The Bermudian, and has written books about the island’s history, including Royal Bermuda; Hall of History: Bermuda’s Story in Art; Masterworks at 25; and Bermuda: Five Centuries—winner of a Bermuda Literary Award for Non-Fiction. She is the author of five editions (2006–18) of the Moon Bermuda travel guide, published by Hachette.
As a new 2021 board member of The Bermuda Society, she is excited to work with the team to help develop the organisation’s communications strategy, brand building, social media and public outreach.
