The Society’s Committee of Management sponsors Bermudian students studying in the UK to attend the annual dinner for members and guests thus enabling them to network with key figures from the international business sector, banking and financial services, insurance, reinsurance, management consulting and the law and accounting professions.
The Society supports a summer internship programme for Bermudian undergraduate and postgraduate students studying in the UK, which provides Bermudian students with an invaluable opportunity to experience the world of high finance in London and allow them to draw upon the wide range of business expertise from within the Society’s Committee of Management and broader membership base – particularly insurance, reinsurance and financial services. It also enables UK firms to identify potential candidates for their graduate recruitment schemes.
The Society works with the Bermuda Foundation for Insurance Studies (BFIS) with their annual internship programme – this gives BFIS students an invaluable opportunity to experience the world of international business in London and allows them to draw upon the wide range of business expertise from within the Society’s membership – particularly banking and financial services, and the insurance and reinsurance sectors.The Society provides a network to ensure that Bermudian students are informed of the graduate programmes which are available from its membership register. Bermudian students are encouraged to join the Society as individual members when they have finished their studies.
