Its lawyers work alongside major international law firms and clients include a number of the largest Bermuda-based global insurance and reinsurance businesses and insurance intermediaries, as well as other global financial institutions with offices in the jurisdiction such as banks, trust companies, accountancy firms and hedge funds.

The firm was established by managing partner Michael Hanson, in association with leading international offshore firm Carey Olsen, at the end of 2017. With a heritage that dates back to 1898, Carey Olsen is one of the most established and distinguished offshore law firms. The firm advises financial institutions, corporations and private clients on the laws of Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Guernsey and Jersey law from a network of nine international offices. As a Group, Carey Olsen employs 450 people and its 50-plus partners head up a full complement of 235 lawyers.

The Bermuda office employs 25 staff, including 14 lawyers.
