Members and guests attended the annual lunch at London's elegant Guildhall in the City. Guests included UK and Bermuda industry colleagues, Bermudian students, and the Society's new Junior Committee members.
Keynote speaker was the Mervyn Skeet, Director of General Insurance Policy at the Association of British Insurers (ABI), who discussed the symbiotic relationship between Bermuda and the UK in tackling global risks. Having worked in the re/insurance industry in both jurisdictions, he noted the long track record of Bermuda-based companies providing capacity to the UK and worldwide, and the significant history of market participants operating across both markets.
